Food Pantry - 2014 Amount Funded: $3,000.00
Funds will be used to stock the pantry with food and other personal care items.

Fab Lab Project - 2012 Amount Funded: $4,000.00
SHS is creating a Fab Lab with the help of a $100,000 matching grant from Cummins Foundation. The Fab Lab is grounded in community/world collaboration and will offer students a place to develop engineering skills to prepare them for the rigors of college and the workplace. Fab Lab will open to Stoughton Area adults/business use in 2014-15. The money will be used to purchase equipment/supplies/for the Fab Lab and will be matched dollar-for-dollar by Cummins Foundation.

Food Pantry - 2013 Amount Funded: $3,000.00
Funds will be used to stock the pantry with food and other personal care items.

Lab Coats - 2013 Amount Funded: $1,000.00
Provide lab coats for all students/staff and community members who use the Fab Lab. The embroidered lab coats will provide a sense of professionalism and pride to the work that is done in the lab. This initiative is rooted in the experience of Mahtomedi High School who has mentored us in the development of the Stoughton Fab Lab.

Food Pantry Sustaining - 2015 Amount Funded: $4,000.00
We continue with our crock pot program as in our previous grant request. Each month a new recipe is introduced and our clients are provided foods to prepare the recipe together with the choices of other foods they make. This is a very successful program. We continue to work with the UW nutritionist once a month to help our clients in food preparation and volunteers from Shalom take blood pressure of our clients on a monthly basis to help them stay healthy. Our Senior Citizens continue to use our pantry for food so they can afford their medications. We strive to help the School Social Worker as their program continues to bring homeless youth to shop for food to help the families they are assisting them in their plight to continue their education. We continue to prepare new foods for clients to taste as many have never been educated on the preparation of food. For example, squash.
As in previous years we continue to enhance food received from other sources making our selection healthy and nutritious for our clients. Providing foods such as milk, fresh fruit, eggs, and other essentials are important to have available for those in need. We encourage people to cook rather than to use processed foods which tend to be less healthy. By striving for healthier selections, albeit more expensive, we feel the need to provide these for our clients
